Just to let everyone know we did a early biometric appointment in St Paul, Minnesota today. Our appointment was for May 31st. The guy said usually they would not allow it but due to the fact that only one person was waiting he said he will allow it :) We got to the place at 3pm and were out by 3.30.

I filled in a form and then the lady took my finger prints, took my photo and then made me do a electronic signature and was told i was good to go.

02/16/11- Interview at 10am London Embassy
02/24/11- Visa in Hand
02/27/11- POE - Minneapolis

04/28/11- AOS, EAD, AP Notice Date
05/04/11- Hard copy of NOA1 for AOS, EAD, AP
05/12/11- Early Biometric walk in(Scheduled for 05/31/2011)
05/12/11- I-485 Case Transferred to CSC
06/13/11- AOS approved, card production ordered
06/20/11- Green Card Recieved

04/25/13- ROC package sent

04/26/13- ROC pack delivered

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Same with me!! It took more than a month for me to get my NOA1, so when I got the appointment for the biometrics for May 25th I got extremely frustrated to be waited more and more, and tried an early walk in in St Paul, Minnesota. The guy couldn't believe I drove all the way (an hour and a half trip) without no guarantee of success, especially with the prices of gas and stuff, and so he let me in! I only had to wait 5 min and it was all very fast and easy. The people were all very polite. I am very glad I tried!
