I just mailed my package for the AOS today morning and just found that i mailed wrong form(I-864a) instead of I-864 for my father in law because we are not living togather.

Can anyone please help me what to do now?

Can i send it seperately or not?

They will send you a RFE (Request for Evidence). You will have to wait for that to come.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Thanks for you quick response.

But is it cause delay in the process or not ?

Because currently I am working on OPT and it will expire in First week of july.

I just filled it today.

Your process will be delayed while you respond to the RFE, but if you are quick, you should only lose a week. Once they receive your package and cash your checks, you are in a NEW period of authorized stay. There may be some lapse between your OPT work-authorization and your EAD work authorization , even without the RFE, because you left it so close. EAD approval is typically 3 months.

Thanks alot for your help.

Some one in the forum misguided me to file I-864a and i just read that my joint sponsor is not living with us so he need to file I-864 instead.

Hope for good that i will get my EAD as soon as possible.
