So folks, one week to go before I get to meet the infamous cbp at dublin airport :-/

I didn't know a two week holiday could make me as nervous as I am. Even when I am not doing anything wrong, I look guilty

This is what I have to show proof of ties to UK:

Letters from employers stating that I am working on ongoing temporary work and they expect my return by 31st May. I now have two temp jobs, one in the day and one in the evening.

I am currently receiving laser treatment which I have paid for in full, so I am required to return for that to complete the course of treatment. I also have a letter for this.

Bank statement to show I have some funds.

Payslips from the last month of work I have done. (I am newly employed)

Letter from fiance stating that he is inviting me to visit him for 2 weeks and he is going to take on any financial costs incurred. Do let me know if this is a good thing or not.

I have recently booked my medical so I will let them know that we've come so far with our potential k1 visa, so I am hardly going to screw it up. Infact my medical is on 1st June so I must return right away because I am totally paranoid over the NOA2 expiring :-/

Along with the above, I will show them my NOA2 and letter from congressman's office stating that nvc received our paperwork, processed it and have sent it to london.

I was going to book my driving theory test, but is it necessary? I would have presented this as a tie to UK. Should I just go ahead and book it? It's only 31 pounds so I don't know if it even means anything..

And finally, one issue that's playing on my mind..I have a denied b2 visa from last year march. How much of a problem is this going to cause?

Have you gotten your ESTA approval? One of the questions asks if you have ever been denied a visa. Here's some info from CBP on visa denials https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/1097/kw/VWP%20eligibility%20questions/session/L3NpZC9kU21PVXp0aw%3D%3D/p/0/c/0

Yeah I have my ESTA approval, but I expect a grilling from them anyway because of the denied b2. The reason for my denial at that time was not showing enough ties to UK. This is why I am gathering enough proof this time.

I think you've got plenty of proof of ties to your country so you should relax. ^-^

So you're travelling on VWP? If they ask about your touristic visa denial, just say the truth and you'll be fine. You got plenty of proof now so they wont grill you for that anymore.

Not sure about this point though.. =/

I hope the proof is enough..i still feel like i have too little. I guess it's the paranoia from the b2 denial that haunts me. I will tell them the reason I was denied was because I didn't have enough proof. All i took with me was a letter from uni stating I am studying there and I have to return for my graduation

With regards to the letter from my fiance, it's just to tell them if anything bad happens in the two weeks that im there, he is there to take responsibility and i wont be relying on the state for anything. But i think for a 2 weeks holiday, it's probably abit much...or is it? I do have travel insurance for the two weeks as well.

I wouldn't show the letter from your fiance unless it becomes relevant.

The fact that you have your medical booked and the K1 in process is really your best proof. Then the laser surgery, and I guess employment. If you have travel insurance just for the two weeks that is good too.

I wouldn't bother booking your driving theory test, just because there doesn't seem much long-term point to it: soon you'll be living in the US and have to do all that over again.
