H2 is a temporary seasonal visa.

A Visa is used to enter the US so by definition something the employee would apply for outside the US.

If he has been working out of status, the employer would be the one in the biggest hole.

The chances of another visa, well lets put it this way $250 an hour would be cheeeeeeeeep.

Where do I send my invoice?

I'm still trying to figure out what to charge the guy. $250/hr sounds like a good place to start. I usually do criminal law but this is a friend of a friend.

You are a lawyer but you can't figure out which forms to file for a visa application without coming to a DIY forum to ask a bunch of anonymous strangers how to do the process?

I'd say $250/hour is a steep price for a lawyer who doesn't know how to use google. Also, using your real name (assuming you are this person) is probably not a wise move either - if your client does actually know how to use google, and happens to check out his lawyer's reputation in the wonderful world of the internet and finds you asking questions on an online forum about how to file his paperwork, he might not be that inclined to pay you after that. Just a thought.

Little_My - I think thats what my comment was lawyer is asking on platform like this what he need to fill out and I think my comment was kinda sarcastic about us the VJ users charging the lawyer for answering his question.

But I guess he thought I was recommd him how much to charge .....lol
