My case left NVC on April 22. The embassy says they still not have recived the case, although I saw through DHL tracking the case arrived in Tunisia on the 26th. I am getting a little worried that the case is still not in the system at the embassy. Should I just wait it out or call them and check. I dont want to be a PIA and call all the time but 2 weeks seems like a long time

we were notified a month before our interview that the file was sent to the embassy in amman and all further inquiries should go to them, but i kept emailing with a question and they kept saying they still didnt get it. it wasnt until a few days before the interview that they got it, so i wouldnt worry too much. they may have it just not in their system or whatever. but hopefully everything will be fine, no worries =)

My problem is we cant do anything until they receive the file. No interview. Technically no paperwork for packet 3. We cant even do the medical until then..

I would not worry too much about it; be positive.

My case was forwarded to the same embassy around the same time so the DHL tracking you are looking at might be mine actually :) ... but we have no way to know for sure!

I have not checked with the embassy about my case. I probably should!

I am not familiar with the K1 process so I don't know what all "paper work" you are worried about but for me (CR1 visa) the only thing required in medical which you can get it done just using the interview letter and it's not time consuming. My wife is actually planning to do it the same day as the interview.

Either way, best of luck and let me know how it goes!

I imagine you have the NVC/embassy case number? If so, call DOS and ask when it was sent by NVC and recieved by he embassy. When tracking it on DHL you can' be completely sure it's your case. According to NVC, my(our) case left some days later than what they said on the phone so I was tracking the wrong case - I found out about it due to a very kind lady at the embassy but it's probably country specific.

They have to put it into their system at the embassy and if there are plenty of cases it might take them a while.

Please correct me if I'm wrong on the DOS.

Thanks everyone..I think I should just relax a bit. NVC and DOS confirmed that my case had left on the 22nd from NVC..they are saying about 2-6 depending on how slow or fast the mail service in Tunisia is. Silly me thought my anxiety level would decrease a bit once I received my Noa2
