Hi to everyone!

Today, when I was signing our supporting pictures, I have realized that my wife (beneficiary) has entered the wrong place of our marriage in Canada. Well, in fact I also thought that it had taken the place in North York (I have no clue is this a suburb of Toronto or just the district in the city). So, g325a has been filled out and signed my wife and she went back to Canada (I'm residing in Chicago).

But, when I checked out the marriage certificate (which of course I've never paid attention before to), I was shocked: the place of marriage was stated as Toronto! And g325a was with North York! Damn it  .

I was gonna submit my I-130 this coming Monday, but it looks like it's not gonna happen.

My question is: can I white it out, put Toronto and make a note from me (as petitioner) and attach to this form saying that "corrected is wright" or something like that :help: ?

Or my wife has to send me another signed form with correct place of marriage? But it's gonna postpone I-130 submission at best for one week.

Is USCIS really pickky on that?

Thanks a lot.

I would have your wife sign a corrected form. While it is frustrating to have to wait the week in the end it will ease your mind knowing everything is in order. IMO white out is not advisable, if you are going that route crossing out the error and writing the corrected location in any available space is a better idea.

Good luck!

Thank you, OBX and Dave and Kinnari, for your replies  !

Definitely, just to be on the safe side - better to wait for another signed form !
