I 864

Hey there everyone!

Just working ahead on the I 864. Me and the hubby are filing for a CR1.

So, the thing about that is: My hubby is just about to get out of highschool, and has enlisted in the military.

From how I understand, he will file an I 864, but understandable that wont be sufficient. So what can he actually include in the I 864?

I understand, employment letter, and .. .? Anyone knows what?

In the past, I was in the States on a J1 visa, so my hostparent (fulltime job, lives by herself, now call her 'mom') will support us with another I 864.

Will she be co or joint sponsor? Does she file a I 864 or I 864A, EZ ?

And, how do we count our household size?

Neither one of us officially live with her, the hubby still lives with his mom.

But my hostmom, his mother in law, makes the most money over poverty guidelines. So she's our best shot.

The co-sponsor fills in another I-864. She needs to make enough for her own household (her, husband, any kids) and the immigrant, ie you. Your husband is not included as he is in another household.

So it'll be just me and her on her I864, she lives by herself.

What does my husband need to fill in as household size? Everyone living with him (mom and stephdad + him)

Or just me, and him (2) as householdsize. It wont be long till we start living together, once we get our stationment...
