OK, now I am getting jealous and feeling left behind. I am going to take a walk down to the Post Office! I live in such a small town, the mailman doesn't deliver to our door :)

receipt date of NOA1 5/5

got in the mail today 5/11

I am so blase` about this compared to the adjustment of status and K-1 stuff. Both those situations we were waiting to receive something to get life going. Since we are already busy with life this is just essentially a rubber stamp on it.

Actually, I was hoping there might be a delay or problem of some kind so I could avoid going back to the UK in August! It's my brother's wedding and my parents are threatening excommunication if I don't go, but even the cheapest flights are $1700+ and after filing this the balance in my bank account is... $40. :lol: I REALLY don't want to have to put anything on any credit cards - we've only just managed to start to make headway into Alex's debt. If I could claim immigration problems... that'd be a valid excuse that was entirely not my fault.

Clauski - the money came out of my bank account on 05/06, 3 days after I sent the package.

Mine was checked on the 11th, which is 5 days later my package was delivered at the VT Center

I wouldn't worry yet!

You mailed on a Saturday, so this is only the fourth working day since then.

As long as you filed it on the deadline, you'll be fine :)

I procrastinated for the longest time, too. Alex kept hounding me, and I finally filed... it's hard when you're busy!

Clauski we have the same dates for filing and receiving the package ;) remember its VSC, my check has not been cashed yet....and i'm not worried at all ;)

- Delivered to VSC 05/09/11

- NOA receipt date 05/09/11

- Check cashed 05/12/11

- Biometrics letter in the mail 06/02/11

- Biometrics appointment 06/17/11

- Approved 01/27/12

Just a couple days ago I was complaining about how slow VT Center works. Ha-ha, today I got my NOA1 that is dated as May 9.

It says that they have extended my conditional resident status for a year, but also is said that "If you have not already done so , provide supporting documents to assist USCIS in processing...", "Such evidence may include..." Peeps, have a look at my attached NOA to understand what I am talking about. I am wondering if everyone who has received their NOAs, the latter look the same as mine.

I assume I should disregard the quotes mentioned above since our joint tax returns, medical and car insurances, leases, etc were sent in the package. Let me know if I understood it right.

Also, the case status may be checked online once the bio appointment is received, correct?

Yes, that is the standard NOA1, same wording on all of them. You can ignore the part about the evidence if you already sent everything in. :)
