Congrats to everyone who's recently received their visa's. It's great to finally see some peeps from this thread getting through. It gives me hope; even though I still have a few years to go.

Luckily, I’m not gonna drive there, just take the tube, but seriously, what is their problem with car keys. What are people supposed to do, give the car keys to some stranger on the street and say , hey here is a gift for you?

I know from previous experience few years ago when I went to the US consulate in Sweden, they ask me to leave the key, phone,.. in a box with the security guard in their booth but here in London, I don’t know, ....

I just think they don’t let any kind of "transmitters" which car keys have have.kicking.gif

PatientMan, there's a pharmacy around the corner that has lockers where you can leave everything you don't need to take into the embassy; car fobs, mobile phones etc. I'm pretty sure it's a Gould's pharmacy, and the last I heard they charged £3 for the locker (they must make a killing every week off this service!).

This discussion will go on at least for rest of the year if not next year.

By creating these so all Job related GC with free pass for their small kids and spouse,.... is basically to increase the demand for Homes, Cars, Insurance of all kind ........ you name it, and cash in.

Who is gonna cash in, well Banks, Investment Banks, Equity firms like Black Rock, BlackStone,.... which bought tousand and tousand of forclosed homes across the country where normal people could not afford the high prices and taxes no more. Not to mentioned the commercial properties, which sit there empty.

The country has at least 8% (+ few extra percent, im not gonna get into that), and they want to bring in people based on Work Visa?

F1Junkie, I would not worry. At least for the rest of this year. After that, well god knows.
