I am sure that everyone calls their foreign fiancee' and without a calling card it can be costly and you need to have phone records to help prove that you and your foreign fiance(e)' have a genuine relationship. I just wanted to share what my immigration attorney shared with me. She told me about a great calling card and now I have used it for a year now and am very pleased. You can go to flatrateonline.net and choose the call back choice card. You set up an account and remitt a payment and are given a i.d. and pin. You can call foreign countries at a relatively cheap rate. And best of all, you can go to your account and view and print your detailed call history. It shows the time and date and duration of the calls and also the number dialed and from your number as well. With this card I named above, you can also be in another country and log onto the website and your account, then enter the number where you are in the other country and the number in the U.S. that you want to call if you are calling family, and the company will call the number from the U.S. and connect you to the number you're at in the othert country. This way, it gives you your cheap rate as if you were calling from the U.S. I let my fiancee' in China use this feature to call me too. It saves so much money for her. I recharge my pin at $25 U.S. and it gives me over 700 minutes. That's over 12 hours of talk time. I call my fiancee' every day and talk 15 to 30 minutes and have accumilated months of phone records to take to her interview. The call history and records are available only in 3 month increments. SO you must be sure and view and print them about every 80 days to be able to keep up with all the records. I just thought I'd share this with everyone as it has helped me tremendously by being able to get phone records without my phone companys hassels and telling me I need a subpoena to get records from them. I'm not trying to sell anyone this companys product, but just wanting to help someone who wants to call their fiancee cheaply like for 2 cents a minute and be able to get phone records. I call China, so when you go to the website and purchase the card, you can select the country you will be calling and that particular countries phone carriers and see wht the rate will be before purchasing. Hope this was beneficial to those who need it and may God bless your relationship and I wish you all success with your visas.

I use skype. I am from brazil and there is a package here where I pay only $13,99 and I can call any number residencial or cell phone in the U.S for the whole month and I can talk how much I want to. It's pretty cheap and you can get the phone records from where you started using it. I also downloaded the skype to my cell phone, I can call my husband from everywhere! It's awesome!

My husband likes google voice. There is an application that allows him to use it on his droid. He calls a landline in Peru for .06 and a cell phone for .21.

10/03/10 - TOUCH!

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"
