Yeah, we have marked up pills that probably cost 20 times what they pay down there if they have no medical insurance. And I'm assuming that most people coming over the k1 visa do not have proper medical insurance while waiting to get married.

Not only that, but why would you want to buy something that you already have?

Immediately before she came to the U.S., Chinook purchased a twelve-month supply of Jasmine birth-control pills in 'Pinas. The twelve-month supply cost approximately 9000Php ($215.00). She had no problem entering the U.S. with the birth-control pills.

When the twelve-month supply ran out, Chinook purchased an equivalent brand of birth-control pills through our health insurance policy here in the U.S. The cost of a twelve-month supply through our insurance is as follows:

$20. Copay amount to the doctor for Chinook's medical check-up and prescription.

$80. Total of copays for a twelve-month supply ($20. every three months).

$100. Total cost of the twelve-month supply of birth-control pills.

As you can see, Chinook's birth-control pills are less expensive to buy here in the U.S. than they were in 'Pinas.

i brought with me yasmin pills good for 5 months... i have thought about asking my friend to mail me some from dubai, uae where i bought them... plus yasmin was my brand at that time which work so well... this desogen am currently taking now caused me to gain weight. i would like to get back to yasmin (which isn't prescribed here at CA) if its safe to mail them to me. anyone tried the mailing of such? ... i wonder...

She can order through the mail a three-month supply of Ocella birth-control pills for the same price as buying them at the pharmacy every three months. The price is the same either way...a $20 copay for a three-month supply.

some of the things i like about living here.. the convenience of even mailing a prescription... and also simply scanning your next prescription omitting the hassle of going to and fro to the pharmacy.

anyways, yes the idea of mailing anything related to prescriptions/medicines outside the US is risky. commonsense tells u that... so this is more merely looking at anyone who may have actually done it. i wish to go back to taking yasmin.

Just a correction: Chinook was using Yasmin...not Jasmine.
