Hi! I sent a few copies of my US-sized passport photo to my husband (the USC) before we filed the I-130 petition. The photo was taken about a month before we submitted the petition. Can we use the same photo for the DS-230 or does it have to be a different/more recent photo?

Has anyone submitted using the same photo for the USCIS and NVC stage? Any chance it will cause problems?

I believe they say it has to be from the last 6 months. Been awhile since I have read on that. My wife got new ones, but I was with her at the time and we had used all the others that she had taken from before.

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

It cost 25SGD to get 6 photos and the digital copy the last time. Thought I'd ask in case we could still use the old ones. :hehe:

Yes it is 6 months. I would not take the chance at NVC stage. Just take new ones. You need some for the medical as well.
