"Certified" v. Stamped Translations

My wife sent me her birth certificate and a translation of it because it is entirely in Arabic. The company that translated did not include a statement that they are competent to translate it into English. Instead, they stamp the translation "Ramada for Translation" with a signature of the translator next to it. Has anyone here submitted something like this and got it accepted without a problem? It's hard to find a translator in my city.

There is a big chance that it might not get accepted but if you want to try you can go ahead and send it. You will know in about 2 weeks if its ok or not. There are a number of translators online who can do it for you. Just google it and you can send them a scanned copy of the certificate and they can translate it and certify it.

Thanks californiaguy, I certainly don't want to waste 2 weeks. I found foxtranslators online, I may give them a shot if I don't find a local translator. If anyone has had experience with this or other online translators, please let me know. Thanks!

Can you blame me for worrying? lol It took them nearly a month to process my DS-3032 and God knows how long I'll wait now just to generate the IV bill. They keep saying I don't attach the bar coded cover sheet even though it is the first page of everything I send them. Prayer keeps my sanity in check.

I have a feeling you will get your interview date in May inshallah. I sure hope so cause if not then imagine how long those of us who haven't completed will have to wait!
