I got the RFE hard copy today. All it was for was for a passport photo of me (which I sent the first time...but whatever).

I immediately went out and had two passport photos retaken. The RFE asked that I put them in an envelope and staple them to the RFE notice and send it back. The RFE notice has my name, case number, barcode, etc.

I didn't include a cover letter or anything. My question is, should I have?!? Or is it ok that I sent it like that? I was in too much of a rush to get it back to them to write a cover letter. The notice states all the information about what the RFE is for and has my info so I am hoping it is enough. Thoughts?

There is no need for a cover letter. What you have done should be fine.

Someone mentioned the pictures before, saying they should be 2 in x 2 in, I wonder if that is the case because ours weren't like that. I also think it depends on the person checking your file, it's like when you get a tourist visa, some consuls ask for lots of documents, some others dont want to see a single one. I'm so glad you finally knew what it was and sent it to them, apparently you will get approved shortly as I have read some posts saying that, right? Congratulations! :)

It should be fine. I just hope that you are still smiling at them through the camera because the only thing left is your approval :) !! Also i hope that you did make a copy of the RFE, but i believe that if you go check your status online it will show the exact hard copy information. Just for good record keeping ( not necessary ) it is good to have a copy of the RFE. Hope to hear about your experience with the CDJ interview process. Wish you and yours the best. My fiancee and I are waiting on our NOA2.

I made a copy of the RFE.

It's really bizarre they just specified that they needed a new photo from me. Both fiance and I had our passport pics taken at the same place. So, if mine was mis-sized, his must also be. However, they very specifically states in the RFE they just needed one passport photo for me (and wrote my name).

I wasn't about to send them something they hadn't requested - and waste a week trying to get a new pport photo from my fiance, when they hadn't asked for it - but it just seems WEIRD to me. I hope they didn't mess it up and will realize later they need one for him too...that's all I need, a second RFE!
