I have a question for after you get married.

I am American and my fiance is Canadian immigrating to the U.S. She has been approved for a fiance visa and our interview is scheduled for April 28,2011!! Our wedding date is May 14,2011 so as long as our interview goes well. Now after she activates her fiance visa when she enters the US and gets married will she be stuck in the U.S. for a period of time? Do you know how long for and what paperwork to file? Your help is much appreciated!!

Yes, she will be stuck for a few months, unfortunately. After you marry, you will file Adjustment of Status. Free with that application is a temporary travel permission document called Advance Parole, which will allow her to travel. That takes 2-3 months to process. Once she gets her Greencard, she won't need the temporary travel permission anymore. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
