Crazy mess! So Im on the phone again now and they are giving me a new work order number and she is changing the taxes to what my paper work says it should be and taking off that funky tax that no one knows what its for or belongs to. It probably belongs to the city that is listed as my address that is actually my county name. Thankfully I called again today. I look forward to this mess being fixed and having my address correct and my taxes correct. Staying on top of other people so I dont get screwed out of my money!

Son seems to have the same problem in dealing with his bank, but he quickly learned how to speak up. Practically all banks sell insurance, read the small print, son shopped around and found much better rates.

He did inherit his fathers' paranoia, and is quickly paying off is now four year new home off. The way banks are today, would love to foreclose on you once you have plenty of equity. Told him not to worry, his old man can pay it off. Interest rates are down now, but not too long ago, over a 30 year mortgage would pay three times the price of your home value. And they don't even make a home today that can even last 30 years, besides paying off that huge mortgage, your home will need plenty of repairs. The 20 year warranty on my double pane argon filled windows when off, but had a battle with the manufacturer and getting replacements at cost and installing myself, could easily add up to another $35,000 to get it so-called professionally installed. When I am done paying cash for each window, will run me about $7,000.00. A huge markup on this stuff.

What state do you live in with your property taxes going down. I live in Wisconsin that is crazy, but not nearly as bad as Illinois. My daughter recently moved to South Carolina, thinking about moving down there. Getting legally robbed up here.
