Confusing...I know!! The FAM rules don't seem to make alot of difference when the immigration officer at the interview tells me that I have the wrong form and that whatever forms they request are what this particular embassy requires. The FAM rules for other docs (ie birth certificate, police records etc.) are however very clear. I am going to go with whatever the Costa Rican embassy requires of me. I will post my experince as soon as I have it. God Bless All.

It is important to note that many requirements for the I-129, K3 are not the same as the I-129,K1. Also, each case whether k3 or k1 is unique dependinfg on petioner and fiance/spouse circumstances.

Documents Required for the K3 and K4 Visa:

Application for Nonimmigrant Visa, Form DS-156

Medical Examinations: Consult physicians list: Caracas Physicians or Curacao, Aruba, Winward Islands Physicians forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025, DS-3026 (Bring Originals). Medical examination is only valid for six months.

Immigration officer at a visa interview?

"K-1 and K-3 applicants are subject to INA 212(a)(4) and must demonstrate to the consular officer's satisfaction that they will not become a public charge. The Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213 A of the Act cannot be required. " is confusing and unclear?

Please do relate your experience. And post the information in the VJ Embassy Info section, if you learn something different from what is already there.
