Hello people,just found out about this site and i really think its amazing.

am about to file a k1 for my fiance,my questions are

1: How many letters or pack will be send by post to my fiance before he goes for interview.

2: Will this letters be sent to me in US or will they send them to him in his country of residence?

first off welcome to VJ

To answer your questions the amount of things you send by postal mail depends on you there is no set number it just depends how you plan things out

The letters such as NOA1 and NOA2 will be sent to you the petitioner and the last step the interview (email) will be sent to him the beneficiary unless you guys use your email on the paperwork. Good Luck

everything will be sent to you,the petitioner in the states until it goes to the forgien fiances country to the embassy.

then 2 letters will be sent,a packet 3 containing forms to be filled out and returned to the embassy and then a packet 4 (interview date and instructions). then the passport with visa will be returned to the fiance at their address

First of all you are about to file a 129f petition for your fiance to come here on a K1 visa to marry you. After you file and send off your papers to USCIS and you will need a letter of intent to marry and signed byt him and also a G325 biography also from him.

YOu will receive a NOA1 receipt for your application and then months down the track if approved you will get NOA2 aproval for this petition at which time your file is sent to NVC and then on to your fiance's countries US consulate. He will then be notified of what documents he will need for interview stage.

Lagos emails pkt 3&4 in one email they do not send out anything and you cant return anything to the embassy all documents must be brought to the interview......

Thanks for the reply.I can see most people say story about pkt 1,2,3 and 4.But please can you tell me what pkt 1,2,3,4 consist of.Will they send the mail for medical and interview by post or e-mail to Nigeria.

I am not sure what pkt 1,2 are never really heard anyone referene those two before but pkt3&4 in Lagos is an email they send and in that email there is a link that gives you instructions on the medical, police check, and affifavit of support that is considered pkt3 they will email it to the beneficiary unless you use your email address (the petitioner) then you will get it...Also in that same email they will have your interview date which is considered pkt4. Everything in Nigeria is sent via email they will not postal mail anything.

Pls read up under emabassy guides at the top of this page for the latest info as to how Lagos handles the process indeed 4yrs ago info that you have is just that outdated.........No one here will give you 4yrs ago procees info all advice given here is the latest process
