When will I receive my first contact?

I'm a bit confused. Do I receive something from Texas or once my packet gets to VT? How long does this usually take?

I know that my packet made it to TX and was picked up on Friday - I got delivery confirmation from the USPS...but I was wondering when they would first acknowledge it...thanks

HIYA!!

If you included a G1145 with your application, you will recieve a text and email as soon as they have checked through the paperworkd to make sure everything is there.

In this, it will tell you which service centre it will be sent to, either vermont or california (pray for california)

If you did not include a g1145 youll just get a letter in the post with your I797 form which is your first notice (NOA1) The date on this is your NOA1 date.

If you get sent to CSC current waiting times for NOA2 are around 5 months, whereas VSC are anyhting from 5 to 8 months.

Ive just seen that your are from Maine, so yours will go to VSC.

You should get your NOA1 within 15 days max!!

Hi, We received our NOA1 in about 6 days, it was waiting for the NOA2 that seemed like forever (6 months wait ) You will be hearing from them very soon. Good Luck To You Both

I did fill out the G1145 - so I will keep checking my email & texts Thanks!!

I am totally bummed that I have to go through the VT service center...ugh! But, at least I am realistic as to what we are up against and am prepared to wait a bit...even though I don't want to! Lol
