I checked the status after 2 months AP and I saw this.

Case Status: Embassy Requests Additional Information

The Embassy requires additional information or documentation in order to continue processing of your immigrant visa application. Please read the notes below:

•You must return to the embassy on any Sunday at 1:30 PM for re-interview with the consular officer.

•Please email the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi to make an appointment for second interview at abudhabiiv@state.gov

Please tell me what is this. Do we have to start all over to have the second interview again. What they did not tell us what other documents they need from us.Please anyone who knows tell me more about this

Yep it sucks, hubby has done that too. They could need anything from him and I don't understand why they can't just mail it in but you know this is the US government we are dealing with.

Try (haha) calling or emailing the embassy and maybe you can find out what they need so he can be prepared to present it. It could be something as simple as verifying dates of travel to another country or they could want a CV or maybe even a list of work associates.

Good luck to you and I hope this might be good news for you and mean the AP is almost over.

They did not ask for passport, they did not ask for any documents. I am so confused and scared.I do not know why these people do this to us.

Nobody is doing anything to you. What they need is another interview. They want to ask questions, not be sent more documents. Of course, he should take his entire file of documents in case they want to see something. Prior to the interview, he'll want to clearly remember the first interview and make certain there are no contradictory answers or documents. Hopefully, they'll grant the visa but they may just need more information prior to doing more processing. You'll find out after the interview.
