Thanks OBX!

Are any of you guys going to the interview with your hubbys..or wives? I happen to be visiting my hubby from Feb1st to May 5th and randomly we found out May 3rd is his interview.... out of the blue!

Haha, nice timing then! My husband won't be joining. There really isn't a point for him to spend $400 to come since he isn't needed at the interview. Plus, he doesn't have any more vacation days left. He didn't even have any the last time he came to visit me. Next time I see my husband is when I move to the USA in May!

Aww, you'll be reunited soon! My hubby got the same email with the interview package, I know he had to take original documents.....but the long style birth certificate he sent to NVC ......so that's the only thing that he dosen't have, he made a copy of it though, you think that will be okay? Can't they just use it at the interview, I know they will have it already.

We got the interview date email on Saturday early morning as well. Now we have to set up the medical. What are the best links to information about preparing for the medical exam in Toronto that you have found?

On this link My http://www.visajourney.com/content/uscis-vaccination-requirements it said that flu season ends March 31st, so you don't need a flu shot if your appointment is after that. Does anyone know if that info is up to date?

Any pointers on the Medical would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,

Congratulations. I just did my medicals in Toronto on March 23, there is no need for flu shots anymore. Good luck with the medicals. It will take about an hour or so.

You should be fine. You're going to get the original birth certificate back at the interview. Just bring a copy with you in case they ask for it. If they do though, mention that you sent the original to NVC, like you were supposed to.

Since you're in Toronto, I'm assuming you're going to the panel physician there. His website (which has a LOT of info): http://www.panelphys...s.com/index.htm

I believe flu season still ends on March 31st. Just in case, I'm booking my medical for sometime in April. I don't want to get a vaccine if it's not needed.

Here are some other links I've had bookmarked for awhile:

I also had the link you mentioned bookmarked as well. :P

Yup, the interview letter is required at the medical. I believe just page 1 of the package.

And yes, you can do the medical as soon as you want. I believe the medical is valid for 6 months, so you're definitely fine ;)

My wife got her medical booked for April 19th. They told her that the Flu shot is not necessary.

Yeah, I think after April 1st, the flu shot isn't needed. Good luck to your wife on her medical.

Just booked my medical this afternoon for April 6th at 10am at the Medisys in Montreal. Keeping all my fingers crossed I don't pass out during my first blood test (I'm afraid of needles).
