When the case arrives at the NVC, are there different types of process for K1, IR1/C3. Im just confused as i am going through the forums, I noticed NVC timeline differences. Some members case go straight to the embassy, some members have to undergo "DS-3032, fee bills, DS-230, etc.."

K-1 visas do very little at NVC - they quickly go onto the consulate. Spousal visas spend a lot of time there. Read the link above to find out what you have to do and when...be proactive. Don't wait for NVC to do anything, you will waste time

Good luck

Forget about processing a K3 visa. It will die at the NVC. You need to pursue the I-130 application only for a IR1/CR1 Visa. The CR1 visa is for couples married less than 2 years.

It takes 5 months at the USCIS for your NOA2 approval and it takes another 5 months between the USCIS NOA2 and the interview date. You may be able to shave off a month. If you are military, you can get it expedited which is a lot faster.

Good luck

P.S. Go to forums and read about the IR1/CR1 process and go to Forum for the Philippines. You will learn so much from this website.

We have IR1 application, got our approval last March 21, right now we are waiting for NVC to receive our case. I've been reading the NVC forum-Phil. & actually learning a lot, im planning to follow Ling Che's Shortcut for a smooth process. Hopefully, NVC will receive our case soon, Im not sure if I will just rely on the AVR system if they received our case, or I need to talk to a representative. Its only been 5days since the approval, maybe i should try calling them again next week.. Thank you :)
