Affidavits in I 130 packet

Hello,,

anyone who can explain to me what it means? How to write them? Who can do it? How many we need to include?

And, sworn affidavits? Which means ... ?

I did some research on it, but I don't seem to understand it all that well ...

I read it all through. What my problem is, that we don't have any documentation showing the bona fides of our marriage. The only thing applicable to us would be the affidavits. I'm just not sure how to write them so that they are valid?

A good affidavit should be written by a third party ( someone who knows you and your spouse ) then he/she will do this affidavit sworn

There is no standard form of the affidavit but let me give you a sample

AFFIDAVIT OF [NAME] (person who make statement)

[NAME] (person who makes statement) being duly sworn, deposes and says:

I am making this affirmation in connection with bona fide marriage between [NAME] Applicant, and [NAME], Beneficiary

The contents of the affirmation are based on my own knowledge and are true.

2. I was born on [DATE] in [TOWN, COUNTY, COUNTRY].

3. My address is [TOWN, COUNTY, COUNTRY].

4. [NAME], the beneficiary, is my daughter.

5. [WHEN THRID PARTY FIRST MET / BECAMAE AWARE OF RELATIONSHIP OF PETITIONER AND BENEFICARY]

6. I was a witness at [NAMES] wedding on [DATE].

7. I have personal knowledge of the bona fide of [NAMES] relationship. Their marriage is genuine.

Further affiant sayeth not.

bona fide:

The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage. They list examples of acceptable evidence as:

1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or

2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or

3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; or

4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; or

5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or

6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union( pictures before and after your marriage of you, your family and friends together, plane tickets that proove you've visited eachother, or that you've been in vacations together, receipts from gifts, restaurants, vacation, birthday cards, emails, phone bills, letters etc.....)

now, 3rd party affidavids can be signed by family, relatives, coworkers, friends or people that witnessed your true and valid relationship before and during your marriage; people that were in your wedding! They can do that at any notary; here's a link with templates:
