Registered Diplomatic Pouch???!!!!!???? How Long?

Hello there. The saga continues...

Fiance was grilled at interview, I was there! Thank God...really. Anyway finally approved after resubmitting police certificate. Now case transferred to another embassy to process the children who are residing with relatives in another country....DOS stated that case transferred via "Registered Diplomatic Pouch"...they also stated that it could take up to 12 weeks for it to reach the embassy....

Time is of the essence as my fiance's passport and visa will expire on August 8....

ANYONE out there know of the Registered Diplomatic Pouch???

You all are my help and I appreciate any info....

That is how governments send documents/items/etc. to their embassies and consulates around the world. Not subject to customs inspection I believe. No doubt the 12 weeks is worst case scenario.

Are you looking to have all arrive together? Anything preventing the fiance from entering first and the children following to join?

want them all to come together....children are 7 and 4...also would cut expenses...Want to have the children's interview before July to allow for visas and getting airtravel all before August 8th

Nothing to stop fiance from coming now...just trying to get all here at once...

All you can do is wait and breathe slowly :-) If the time passes and you still aren't hearing anything, and you had been planning on your fiance actually travelling with the children, then you will want to make a back-up plan just in case. If your fiance has to travel over on August 7th and then you have to go get the children, for example, just make sure that, nearer the time, you do have that back-up plan open to you. (Your fiance will not be able to leave the US for several months after arriving.)

But, try not to worry about it now. Even if it did take twelve weeks to travel over to the other Embassy, that would still leave almost 2 months for them to process the children. I doubt it will be 12 weeks, fingers crossed :-)
