My fiance has filed packet 3. Yesterday she re-read the question 31b. The embassy wants to know how many family members will follow at a later date. She put N/A. Now after consulting with a few friends she thinks her children will never be able to come to America. I told her that I didn't think it was true. Does anyone have an answer for this? I mean someone who has done this? Both children are adults so they will have to file themselves and we will sponsor them.

usually that form is listing K-2 eligible children. IF they are over the age of 21 on the K-1 interview day, what's there won't matter, as the children are ineligible for K-2 status.

So, further down the road, the children will come in based on the foreign spouse's status in the USA, and not anything on the K-1 form.

How 'good' friends are these? If they are the ladies from the 001 BBS, disregard advice from there.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Darnell, they are good friends but as you know until a western man is trusted the word of a Chinese female friend carries more weight. I think the friend was only speculating. Another thought is that my girl is afraid that I will wind up being like her ex-husband. Her sister wound up with a bum in America so there is something in the back of her mind that worries about this. She'll learn, but she will have to come here to learn, then everything will be OK.
