I didn't see a forum started for those of us that have filed in March. It would be great if we could all ban together and get a good idea when things start moving along even though it won't be for some time yet. I've just sent my packet off so it will offically go out tomorrow March 17th. My husband is Irish so lets hope it truely is a lucky day for us and we all have a speedy process!

Yep we went through the entire K1 process but before our wedding my husbands mother became very ill and we decided it was best he go back to take care of things there. So he came back in October and we got married then and are now starting a new process. So this will be a new adventure I'm sure. One good thing is since I've been through the immigration process before I know to be patient lol.

When we filed for our K1 we had a lawyer so ALL of our notices went to the lawyer first and THEN to us. So if you've hired a lawyer to help you in this process keep that in mind...maybe take you longer to get the actual NOA1 because it's not going to be coming directly to you if your lawyer filed the paperwork.

Oh okay thanks... so I should keep bothering my paralegal :bonk: does the petition take longer if you have a lawyer or is it the same if you do it yourself?

I would say it takes the same amount of time. The lawyer can't speed things along any faster...what I found through our process in the past is that you pay someone a lot of money to organize your information. I wanted to kick myself when I realized this site was available...I had already spent the money but have continued to learn alot here.

Oh I'm sure it will be just fine. I found that really I got all worked up over nothing the last time around. I mean you do have to keep on top of stuff but all the worrying about the interview and documents and all that....it doesn't do any good to worry about it. I'm very impatient...it's a bad thing I know and even having gone through all this once before...well similar to this I still dont have any patience lol. Keep positive. Dont worry about things because really you can't change them anyway!
