Aside from the stress of waiting for our NOA2 and the fact that we don't know if it'll be approve or not sucks. (although yeah I know I have to wait more since I am just a weeks old lol)

What hurts more is that we keep missing our loved ones so much that everyday its getting harder and harder. I know all of us here are all away with our beloved. That if only there's this magic pill which we can take and make us sleep for 4-6 months straight then I'd rather take it and just woke up with the visa on hand and our beloved right there waiting for us to pick us up at the airport. lol

I miss him a lot, I do, so much. We stay in touch by phone and email daily as much as possible. That helps tremendously, just being able to hear his voice, or hear him laugh...to be able to envision his face and the flash in his eyes because I hear the smile in his voice. Although there's still a part of me that ache cos I keep longing for his hugs and kisses and I just miss every single thing about him. Its driving me crazy I swear, but I have to be strong. I can deal with this though and I know this distance will only make our bond and love more stronger than ever. Just gotta have to keep that love alive always, the trust, the respect and above all, the faith.

How about you? How do you cope up missing your loved one 6,000 miles away?

I asked Matt the same question months ago. Here's his exact answer,

Matt: I pray, I look at pictures of ours, I read your text and card messages, I listen to our songs, and then close my eyes and I see your face. How about you? How do you cope?

Evieve: I don't know. I'm getting crazy already.

LOL!

The phone is far too expensive, do you guys use skype? Thats the best way is skype and using instant messenger. Skype is free video/audio chat and it works well to the philippines. (but you need broadband) Or you could use a netcafe

My wife and I have been apart 2 years waiting on immigration, eventually I gave up and left the usa and I am now in the philippines with her. It takes a lot to last years apart , we had our good and bad days. But, we are thankful for skype , it kept us close . We would just leave skype on all day. My wife would even bring the computer to the kitchen table while they ate so i would not be left out awww

Im personally to the point that i dont care what USCIS does anymore, im sick of calling them and putting in request that never go anywhere . we have decided to stop hurting because of them and just be together and live our lives

I thank the person who created Skype and Yahoo . We video chat as much as possible , send each other pics . The many phots of us together in my house is a constant reminder that soon we will be with each other . It takes faith , trust and perservance . It pushes your love and tolerance to the extreme to be away from each other so long .Love will always win . I wish I had wings so I can fly

I have been married for more than 3 years now going on 4th year actually. Our original plan is for my husband to move here in the Philippines but his mother got 2 heart attacks and no one will take care of her. My husband is the only child so we just decided to file our paper and instead of him moving I should just migrate.

We talk everyday using Skype. Twice a day actually, before he go to bed and before I go to bed. He's been visiting twice a year, during my bday/our anniversary and Christmas to new year. We are always together on special occasions. (not every valentines though, sucks)

Skype helps, we talk and seems and sounds like he is just here plus video. So I don't really get lonely that much. And we just got our petition approved so I'm hoping this will go smooth from there.

But I got to tell you, on our first year being married it was tough not being together so I understand what you mean. Just be positive, for sure you will get your NOA2 soon. :)

Awww thats so sweet. I like you saying that you dont care about what USCIS does anymore. It just means, this whole immigration process would not be a hindrance in a relationship and yes, that's how it should be. Besides, its just between you and your wife, not you both VS the immigration. That makes sense to me.

As for us, my fiance always take me anywhere around his house carrying his laptop all the way. From the living room to his kitchen, to his room, to his garage, to the lake and even if he is driving up to work and from walmart to home. And that makes me feel good and made me feel that I am just with him no matter how far. We use skype for video calling and for the phone calls, we used Telepinas. Its a 2-way unlimited call from the PH to the US and vice versa for 100usd a month.

aside from using skype, oovoo, google video chat or any messenger....cards and e-mails we also used magic jack as a means of communication....if you will send your loveone a magic jack they can have any local US telephone number....its $40, 20 for the device and 20 for the first yr of service. Its unlimited local and long distance just like a regular US landline , anyone can call them and they can call anyone in the US unlimited. They just need a computer and high speed internet. biggrin.gif

i got one and my fiancee call me everyday on the magic jack on his lunch breaksmile.gif and i can call him anytime, anywhere he is, i can call also his family w/out any charge..... magic jack is awesomebiggrin.gif

Yeah I've heard of magicjack too and they say it works great. Just that you need high speed internet and an analog phone. Telepinas works great too although you have to pay 100usd a month. Its a 2-way unlimited call to and from the USA. No need for a high speed connection nor analog phone. No pins. All you need is a cellphone and a globe simcard.

I used to work in a call center so I really don't miss him a lot (he was my bf that time) since we have an opposite time. AM here and PM there and vice versa.

I was all confident that I can get through all this bureaucratic process without any feeling of frustration. But I was totally wrong. After we got married, we had 2 days honeymoon only (that sucks) because of limited leave. Then it all begun, 2 days after he was in US, i started feeling empty. I CERTAINLY CAN'T HANDLE BEING ALONE ANYMORE. Its different when you barely got married and he suddenly left. I was crying all night and day. I cant even concentrate at work due to my depression. He made me stop work and stay at home. Things got worst because I am left with nothing to do but watch tv and surf the net.

I coping mechanism to this boredom and depression is my family. I talk to them and laugh with them. I take them out to eat and spend the day off. At the end of the day, it's him that I am thinking again. This whole process is killing both of us. We argue about non-sense things like hushbrowns, ATM not ATM Machine coz it's redundant, not saying good morning on the onset of the call, not saying I love you in the most sweetest way at the end of the call, static line and all sorts of small things on earth. Out of frustrations, most of the time we argue. We know we love each other so much and we cant afford to lose one another. :crying:

:crying: Crying on the phone helps me release the tension and the frustration off our heads. We talked on yahoo messenger and on facebook and we plan our future together. Planning ahead makes us forget that we're thousand of miles apart for awhile. And at the end of the day, it's still the love we're sharing that grows stronger throughout this rough time. (L)

If you have internet connection, you should have him buy and send you a Vonage adapter. It's only $30 per month, and you can call each other unlimited. Much cheaper than $100 per month. Magic Jack is even cheaper.

I recommend vonage. It has better service and voice quality is good and vonage network seldom go dead. With Vonage there is no PC required. Other products are available that does not require PC to work. Also, send in

AT&T EP5632 5.8 GHz Digital BlueTooth Enabled Cordless Phone with Answering System http://www.amazon.com/AT-Digital-BlueTooth-Cordless-Answering/dp/B000RPT2QQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1301761550&sr=8-2

and

Motorola Black H680 H681 Bluetooth Headset (AT&T Packaging)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00188JT0K/ref=sr_1_2_olp?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1301761621&sr=1-2&condition=used

With Magic jack, you need a dedicated computer (turned ON all the time when using magic jack), you need to install software so that the ads will be displayed on the pc.

Both of us is working 8 hours a day so we opted on getting Telepinas since we can always carry our cellphone with us. Its a cellphone to cellphone unlimited call. I can call him anytime, anywhere.

For us, lots of email, skype, and YM. International calls from Afghanistan are not cheap, and my VOIP is not very good because my satellite is internet. Being apart for so long is hard, no two ways around it. Just stay busy, get a job, pursue a hobby, ANYTHING to keep you busy during the hours you cannot communicate. Write down things you want to talk about so you don't forget them during the conversation. Make plans for your future together.

HAARP has some good ideas with vonage and his phone and bluetooth headset, just be SURE they know to only plug it in to 110 (Can't find the specs stating if it is dual voltage or not, perhaps HAARP can help us out on that). Nothing makes things quit working more quickly than letting the "magic smoke" leak out.

You may know this already, but you can send texts from email too, free for the most part:

The major US cellular carriers use the 10_digit_number@cell.carrier_domain.com format for SMS to text capable cell phones, with a limit of 160 characters in the subject and message body (total).

Carrier Send Email to phonenumber@....

Alltel @message.alltel.com

AT&T @txt.att.net

Nextel @messaging.nextel.com

Sprint @messaging.sprintpcs.com

SunCom @tms.suncom.com

T-mobile @tmomail.net

VoiceStream @voicestream.net

Verizon @vtext.com (text only)

@vzwpix.com (pictures and videos)

Verizon users can register an alias at vtext.com to give out instead of their phone number. Both alias@vtext.com and phone_number@vtext.com will be valid addresses for the phone.
