DirectTV offers a variety of Filipino channel packages. They seem pretty reasonable. Personally, I do not have these channels, so I am unable to vouch for them. However, based on our Kababayan's reviews, it is a Godsend.

I hope this helps you. :D

I'm off the cable and satellite grid in that I only have over-the-air TV so it would have to be web based.

John

pinoy365.com looks like it is a good one, but pinoychannel.com is a dating site. Not a TV watching site. :bonk:

I wanted my wife to have TFC but wasn't ready to make the switch to satellite. However, I found something better. TFCko (TFC on demand). http://www.tfcko.com/aboutTFCKo/index.html It is a set top box that connects to your internet and your tv. It is updated daily with the newest shows. I think its better than the satellite/cable versions because it is demand meaning there is a lot more content to choose from. You can go back weeks on a show to catch up. The package costs $29.99/month. I got it during a promotion where all other fees were waived.

Get her a scrub bucket to clean the house, have her clean the cars, have her mow the yard, have her prepared 3 meals per day for you, Have her bath the dog.

She don't want to hang around the house watching TV all day, Get her a car and let her drive around, or get her a bike and let her cruise while you are at work....

I checked out all the free options for Filipino TV on the web last year. It was all just a false promise and disappointment. Ya gotta pony up and get satellite or cable to get TFC or GMA for $10 bucks/month. If ya dont want to do that for the first months that she is here, then do like Jack says, and have your Filipina busy working and scrubbing the house all day or out driving.

You can check with her too if she's a "Kapuso" or a "Kapamilya" or "Kapatid." :hehe: TFC is "Kapamilya."(If my impressions are correct, she'll give you this appreciative, knowing look). There's this intense partisanship in Philippine TV viewing.
