Hello, everyone! I am new here and I am happy to be a part of this community. Today, I had my interview at the US embassy here in Manila. It was definitely an experience. Everything went smoothly. My only problem is, I am now doubting if i have passed the interview and have been approved a visa. I was interviewed by the consular officer after all my documents have been gathered by a Filipino officer, interviewed by the Filipino officer and had my fingerprints scanned.

The interview with the consular went like this:

1. He asked for my name then for my fiance/petitioner's name.

2. He asked how we met each other.

3. When did we start dating?

4. What does my fiance do for a living?

5. When did I last see him?

6. Have I ever been out of the country?

And after all these questions, I was asked to sit down at the waiting area and wait for my name to be called. After 15 minutes, my name was called and was asked to fill up a form for shipping details. The guy from the window said to just wait for my visa at home together with my passport.

But the thing is, the consul did not say anything to me about passing or failing the interview. I mean, if I have been denied, would he have told me on the spot? I have no effin' clue... :( I hope somebody can enlighten me. I was telling my fiance about this and he seems worried, but I just know deep in my heart that i probably passed and that me and my fiance should just chill because soon, we will be together. I hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks!

Sounds like a ''GO'' to me . If you have failed or needed some more information --they would have let you know . Congrats in advance .

Hi I'm new here and I had the same experience as foreverfaithfully

I had my interview yesterday Apr 3 and also the American consul

did not tell me that I was approved, he just said to me to sit down again

and wait for my number to be called for the delivery of my visa.

So i sat down again and wait...finally after an hour and half my number

was called on window 72 and the woman behind the glass checked my documents

that she had in her table and told me that "Sir everything is okay and I will received my

visa with my passport after 3-5 working days, since it is holiday because of Holy Week here in

the Philippines..it would be after Holy week. Also she told me that I would not need to fill up

the 2GO slip form because I already had my data on their online database. So I asked her again if it is okay?

She said Sir okay na nga..wait nyo na lang visa nyo na madeliver.

What do you think? Did I passed the interview?

I'm a bit worried and clueless since I dont know if I got approved

Just waiting for my Visa so that I can be with my also Pinay Gf

and get married on the beach.

Don't listen to people who tell you not to worry. You should worry. They can tell you that you are approved on the spot. They told my fiancee that she was approved on the spot. They even gave her a form that said she was approved. Then we waited in Guangzhou for a visa that did not come as promised. Embassy refuses all phone calls & just says to use website which they may or may not respond to by email. After 2 weeks and $2,000 of flight & living expenses, we were told that her K-1 was now under "administrative processing" but not told why. Blue letter arrive back in fiancees home town 2 weeks later. It requested the same documents on work and job history that were submitted at intake. It did not say why. It did not say when. That was 2 months ago. [but, if would make you feel better, don't worry! I mean, you trust the US Government, don't you?]
