Hello guys, well well well, after along journey dealing with USCIS. and U.S. Embassy, and from K-3 Visa to Green Card to Citizenship. Finally the time's comes. I just recieved my First U.S. passport book. and looks nice with the new design, And i am still waiting for my Passport Card. and my Certificate of Nat, ..

Now, what is the right way to sign it?

I received a little booklet with it, it says Sign your full name in your passport in ink

1- with what INK?? Blue or Black ???

2- should i sign it like the same Signature i signed my Certificate of Naturalization.?? or full name? .. i signed my certificate of naturalization = first name and the last name. i dint sign it adding my middle name. So when it says full name that means. including my middle name??

thanks alot guys.

Congrats Sand ...To God be the Glory. He took you through and you are finally at the end.

I don't think it really matters what color ink you sign it; blue/black should be fine. I would sign it with your regular signature; how you would sign your checks or important documents.

What's so complicated about signing your name the way it printed in your passport. Why risk some idiot POE guy that may refuse you admittance into this country because you didn't follow that simple instruction?

Black is always considered the legal color, ball point pens come in black, my banks give those away for free, must have hundred of them. Some legal documents specify to use black, but haven't seen anything on the passport about using blue, red, or green. Just handed my wife a black ball point pen.

Can you even buy an ink pen anymore? Last one I had leaked ruining a good white shirt. At my wedding ceremony, the judge handed us a black ball point pen, one of those 39 cent ones. Could have brought along my 30 buck black point pen, but does the same thing, and I didn't think about it. Paid that much for one so I wouldn't lose it, but don't even carry a pen anymore, everyone seems to have one. Now I am writing on glass, haven't mastered that yet, slide all over the place.

Our biggest fear of the US passport was getting back that 400 buck citizenship certificate back, hope yours come back in one piece. Was sent in a brown envelop via untraceable first class mail without a do not bend notice on it. Spent ten bucks for a larger mailbox, so the postman didn't have to fit it in. But wonder about people that live in an apartment complex with those narrow slot mailboxes. Had to sign for that cheap easy to replace passport, but the certificate came in with the rest of the junk mail.
