Good morning to all,

I am in the process of gathering information to send to my lawyer.

-He said I needed a note from my employer stating my position, salary, and that my job is a permanent one. Is there a specific form that needs to be filled out, or can he write and sign a letter on a letter head from work with the information necessary?

-A letter from the bank stating that we have a joint account, when the account was opened, and the number of deposits in the last 12 months. Has anybody done this before? Does the bank give you trouble?

-Information showing we have joint accounts. Other than our bank account, we have a cell phone bill together, a Belk dept store credit card, and our lease. Is this enough evidence/information?

A letter from the employer stating the above is sufficient.

The bank will write you this kind of letter but you have to go into the bank for the letter. A bank statement may be better than bank deposits because the statement will show credits and debits that will show active financial mingling. Both cell phone bill being paid with the joint account etc.

-Information showing we have joint accounts. Other than our bank account, we have a cell phone bill together, a Belk dept store credit card, and our lease. Is this enough evidence/information?

I have a letter from my landlord, insurance document showing spouse as beneficiary, letters addressed to both of us going to the same address, things of this nature.

banks usually are very good at providing statements, and you don't need anything "special", you may even be able to print your online bank statements showing both your names. in addition, you may consider providing insurance info showing both your names... or showing that you are each other's 401k/life-insurance beneficiaries, if available, etc.

In our case, the pay stubs sufficed. In it it showed wages, deductions & bonuses.

A letter from the bank stating that we have a joint account, when the account was opened, and the number of deposits in the last 12 months. Has anybody done this before? Does the bank give you trouble?

We printed out bank statements from our bank's website and ask for a letter from the bank stating when the accounts were opened in both our names and the balances on it. You wont have problems requesting them for this letter.

Information showing we have joint accounts. Other than our bank account, we have a cell phone bill together, a Belk dept store credit card, and our lease. Is this enough evidence/information?

Yes, this is enough.
