Namely, I am wanting to know what my Germany fiancé, Julia, can begin doing NOW in order to be better prepared once she in contacted by the consulate in Frankfurt. We JUST received our NOA1 on February 16, 2011. The Process Flowchart posted on VJ requests that she (the beneficiary) begin "researching and preparing forms required by Embassy." I have posted a similar question recently, and some responded that, really, there is nothing Julia and I can do until we've received our NOA2 (approved petition notification). Is this right???

Thanks!

Read the guides and prepare to prepare your financial info that you will send to her . Go to the Embassy website and determine where the medical will be and what forms the Embassy will want.... But yes you have about five months of downtime which you wait. Relax

If she wants to, she can gather documents like her birthcertificate, write a draft of the letter of intent, start putting together a folder with pictures, letters,...other evidence of your relationship but other than that- not much you can do at this point.
