10 years GC holder... Posibility to move in China.

Hi all !

Didn't recieve my 10 years GC yet at this moment but hopefully soon. But I'm not really worried about that, I know sooner or later it will come :-). My concern and quistion is, if my husband employer transfer him to china for his work, as a filipina and just a GC holder am I able to live in China too or do I need to aply for a chinise visa ?

the employer can set up a visa for you also, actually knows how to do it.

Move as in permanently? You will loose your residency in the USA, the Green-card will be considered to be abandoned.

You can apply for a re-entry permit (File I-131) and use this if your period of time away from the USA will be less than 2 years. I dont think permamently.... Probably visit once a year here... specially hubby have 2 kids here . Thanks.

Beware, USCIS and the POE can catch on to "visits" to the USA and can make it hard if they suspect not living in the USA as a permanent resident.
