Around Feb 14th, 2011 I recieved a neon yellow color notification from USCIS indicating that its not an interview letter. It did say as subject pre-interview case file review. The letter is asking me to bring my state issue drivers license or state issued ID card. I have following question:

1. Whay are they (USCIS) asking specifically about drivers license or state issued ID card. Any reason?

2. Is this a standard letter and does not mean anything significant except that I am supposed to bring the above document on interview date.

I am still waiting for interview date.

Can anyone help me out to understand the significance of such letter?

I suppose it's for your naturalization interview. They request an ID at the interview, whether driver's licence or state ID.

Not everyone get's it, it's for missing documents you need to take to your interview.
