I-130 can take upwards of 5 months or so to approve, you could study what comes next here.

Document Collection

If the NVC has requested applicant documents or Affidavit of Support documents, click on the appropriate link below:

Notice: Do not submit documents unless they were requested by the NVC.

Beware things like police certs are valid 1 year, you may aquire one now, but if interview falls beyond 1 year after getting one, then you will need to get another.

My husband submitted I130 packet and got our NOA1 last November 1, 2010. I'd like to know if there is any paper we could start doing while waiting or are we just suppose to keep on wait? If so, for how long?

Start getting ready NOW for the NVC stage. Once you receive your NOA2, and your case gets to the NVC, you will find it moves quickly from there. You will kick yourself later if you don't get all the NVC documents together NOW.

If you wait for NVC to request the documents; you are wasting time!! When the AOS and the IV are PAID; print the barcoded cover document, and mail them in.
