For those wondering, I was able to determine her work domain, but wasn't sure if it was actually where she worked, or if it was a reseller of services. I also found a website that she, or someone from her office, has visited at least once.

Hehe, but I can. The email header shows a variety of information. On an email that you receive if you are using Outlook or Outlook Express you can go to the view tab and press options, and a box appears that offers the information. Much of it is gobbledy ######" but if you see IP information (a string of numbers) you can look it up in ARIN Whois. If using Yahoo or some similar web-based programme, I think you have to toggle the "show full headers" tab on the email and it will show the information.

On Thunderbird (since I'd rather just hand out my credit cards to strangers than use outlook), it's View >> Headers >> All.

Look for:

X-Originating-IP That's the IP address you want to do a search on if they're using Hotmail or some such.

The online IP locators are okay. The software ones you have to buy and run locally are better. *cough cough* lol
