Hi

I entered the country on a M1 visa, but at port entry i was detained and told that i can't enter the country coz i was trying to enter the country very early (3 days) than the allowed buffer time which is 30 days before the classes start. So i was entering the country 33 days before my classes start. Then they called up my school and some how fixed it by sending a new I20 which was faxed. But the lady issued me an I94 for just 30 days, she also handed me an I515A form and asked me complete it and attach my new signed I20 along with it and mail it to Washington DC, and told me that they will in turn mail me my new I94 for proposed period of stay. It has been 3 months now and I have been in this country without a valid I94 for 2 months. I live in Dallas Tx. Any one with such experience and any idea how many more months will i have to wait for my I94. With out an I94 am having a tough time can't get my drivers licence and stuff. If some one here knows whom I should contact in this regard pls advice.

Thanks

You can contact a few people. You can contact the DSO at your school, you can contact the International Admission director at your school, you can contact the POE into which you entered, or you can make an infopass appointment

Either way, you need to be proactive. No more waiting. Get this settled yourself

Good luck
