Hi my friends!

I think I will go crazy about all this K 1 process. I fort to write on the form G- 325 a for K1 visa the correct last name of my father. His family last name is de Santana, I wrote just Santana, because my name is just Santana, and my sisters and mother they are just Santana too. I dont know what I am gonna do. I am worried because I will have to fill the other forms for my interview where I will have to write my father's last name again, they will see the difference.

A question: Will all our forms we fill to apply for the visa go to the embassy that will be our interview? Because if they send the form g-325a goes to there they can see the difference.

Another question: Do the USCIS send back all our documents when we fill 129 F?

I am sorry to bother you friends with all these questionns, but I cant even relax anymore. :(

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

Everything that is sent to USCIS is sent to the embassy for the interview, they look at all the papers and add papers to it before your interview.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

They won't be returning your papers to you. In my opinion, they are not going to notice that slight difference in the name. Many Brasilian names have the "de" and some people choose to include it and some don't. If they have a question about it at the interview, you can just explain that you and your mom have chosen to drop the "de" and so you forgot to include it in your father's name. Just fill in the interview forms correctly, and if there is a problem, they will probably ask you to add "de" to the G325A. I know that this process is so crazy and stressful. I worried over every little thing too especially for the interview. I believe when my fiance went there, someone at a window checked over his paperwork that he brought but did not compare it to the file they already had. The interviewing officer likely already had his file and checked the major things like his name and birthday if they matched on both forms. I have known many people who went through the interview in Rio just fine. As long as everything you are bringing is in order, and you answer honestly, things should go well. Good luck to you! I also speak Portuguese so if you need anything, let me know. :)
