I don't see a problem with a minor minding his parents, do you?

Your premise also assumes he obeyed in spite of his own opinion? Is it also a bad thing if he adopted the same morals and values that his parents instilled in him?

No it doesn't assume anything about his opinion.

It is neither good nor bad if he adopted the same morals and values that his parents instilled in him.

His father decided he wasn't going to wrestle the girl so he didn't.
