Your co-sponsor will need to show that their income was at the 125% poverty level for 2007, 2008 and 2009, if they were not at the 125% for the number of people that they are supporting, then I would suggest you find another co-sponsor who meets the guideline. Not meeting the 125% poverty level will get a denial, if they meet the level, the a visa will be issued.

Hey Vett! The post above is correct. If the co-sponsor that you have chosen can not prove that they were above the poverty line for the amount of people in their household your visa will be denied. I suggest going over that paperwork again and checking the numbers yourself. Also, try pooling resources to see if you can find another co-sponsor if that happens to be the last resort. I know that is a hard thign to ask of someone, but there is really no getting around that particular portion of this journey. Good luck.

p.k thanks guys....but what do you think so far, i asked the CO if that was the only problem and she said yes

so if all goes well with the sponsor do you think there will be any other issues, or would they have pointed it

out then and there?

guess nattoy and i are screwed cuz i only sent him 2009 return from co-sponsor and 2010 W'2 :(.. His interview is feb.28th dont think it will make it to him in time.

no,no,no, nicole..keep a positive mind. everybody's situation is different, for example when my friend fiance filed for her k visa..he didnt even do his

taxes in the us, he only submitted the ones he did in jamaica...and they didnt even ask him anything about it, she was approved. but if you can get them ready

have them handy in case he get blue slipped for it, that way you can turn around and send it back immediately.

Your right I need to stay positive. They only ask for the most recent year, but you are the second person i heard to get blue slipped for not having even further year's returns. I'm going to scan and e-mail him the papers he needs so he will have them before interview. After I finished freaaking out we found a solution. Thankfully Nattoy's neighbor just bought a printer. I think you may have saved us a blue slip becuase I have a feeling they will ask us for 07 08 as well because we are using a co-sponsor. Sorry you got blue-slipped. Once you give them what they need it shouldn't be a problem. :)
