tax transcripts

hey everyone.

I have been reading about tax transcripts and I was wondering what is better to use. My dad does our taxes on turbo tax and from there sends it in. Is that ok or good to use for the K-1 interview with the I-134 or is it better to order transcripts from the IRS for the I-134 form?

I would definitely use IRS tax transcripts. They are free and came about a week or less after I ordered them.

tax transcripts are better only because you dont need to have the w-2s and all supporting documents for the return. But you can use the printouts and w-2s with no issues.

We used copies of our signed returns at both the interview in Manila, and the AOS later on, with no problems. I think we will use transcripts for Naturalization though, just to be sure.

Copies of your return, the one you submitted either in snail mail or electronically is acceptable.

The only difference I see is that the transcript is only one page. The copies are a bit more with it's supporting docs like your W2, medical receipts if you choose to itemize etc...
