It is the petitioner who sends the information - I sent a total copy of my entire passport to prove my citizenship (besides it has all my travel stamps for each time I went to Norway). The beneficiary does not need to provide this at this stage for the I-129F but later on.

So, the answer is no... if you supply copy of the passport you do not need to send in the birth certificate.

Birth Certificate will surfice for now. Though including all the pages of your passport with the stamps in it, is great evidnece to show you have met in the last two years.

Nether are needed for the I-129F petition, it asks for US Citizen passport, birth cert, or naturalization cert to prove US citizenship.

NOTE: I highly recommend http://candleforlove.com That site specializes in immigrations through the US Consulate in Guangzhou. Search that site for "Front Loading", the consulate tends to hand out denials to K-1's like candy to those who are not fully prepared.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
