No NOA1. Should I Worry?

Hello everyone.

I sent my Petition package, and it was signed for and received in Texas on 1/18/2011. 3 weeks later, and I haven't received an NOA1, or an email, nor has the check been cashed.

Just curious if I should be concerned, or if this is the normal process? I had thought they would send me an email (filled out G-1125A), saying they received it...maybe I assumed incorrectly.

I would appreciate any feedback from folks who have submitted their I-129f Petitions...thank you :)

Erik

Did u mail it with tracking number or delivery confirmation? If the check has not been cashed, i think u should give them a call. Normally it takes average of 2 weeks to cash the check. Another week for you to get the NOA1. I would start spamming their phone line if i were u.

To me, 3 weeks is a little long.. the check should have been cashed by now.. But wait till Friday and if nothing still, then call? Or start calling now just to ask.. Goodluck :)

Thanks both for your feedback :)

yep, sent it UPS with tracking, and have confirmation that it was received and signed for on 1/18/2011.

Do you have the phone number for them? I found an email, and have sent one to them (today, so haven't heard back yet). Phone call sounds better, but don't see the number anywhere.

Thanks so much!

Erik

Did you send the correct fee? If the check hasn't been cashed yet and you didn't get an e-notification either, there might be something wrong with the petition and you might get it back in the mail with a rejection notice telling you what exactly to correct and then to re-file. I hope for you you get your NOA1 soon though! :)

; My advice is to call immediately, although I have seen some cases where couples received their NOA1 in the 4th week.

But still, it's a long time from the date you two sent the package. The check hasn't been cashed yet (The Service Centers are darn fast cashing them  ) Don't wait til next week, just call and hopefully they'll provide you the answer you are looking for

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!!

Thanks for the advice everybody :)

I didn't even get a chance to call them. Literally within 5 minutes of sending them an email, they replied back with my receipt number. And now this morning I see they've cashed the check also.

It almost seems like the package was sitting there until I said something to them (but I don't think it's supposed to work that way)

OK, I'm breathing again
