Hello! :)

I know there's a guide on this site on how to process all the documents needed for the I-129f to be submitted to Dallas, Texas and its been a great help for us. However, we just wanna make sure if we got it all right. Please help us double check and let us know if we're missing something or if we got it all correct.

- payment amounting $340. It could be personal check or money order.

- form I-129f

- G-325a biographic information which will be filled up by me and him.

- letter of intent to marry from me and him.

- one passport type photo of me and him

- copy of his birth certificate... (do I have to submit mine?)

- copy of his passport... (do I still need a copy of his passport or only his birth certificate?)

- copy of his divorce decree

- evidence of bonafide relationship.. pics, emails, boarding passes, hotel receipts, etc etc etc.

what do you think? :)

Assuming you are the beneficiary, no you do not need to submit your birth certificate. You don't need a copy of his passport either, but it doesn't hurt to send it in anyway.

Other than that, it looks good.

I don't know if this will help but I went the expensive route and hired an Attourney.

Once you file the petition there is no turning back, you cannot add additional documents later unless you get a request for more information, thus, more waiting.

According to the Attourney:

The petitioner should have their Letter of Intent Notorized to Marry within 90 days.

2 Passport pictures of each the Petitioner and Beneficiary properly attached to the 325 Form.

Include both Your Birth Cert and Benificiary. They will ask later anyway. Why not do it now. Get it over with.

The Passport of each of you should be Cover to Cover (In Color) showing any stamps where you have been. Again Cover to cover. All Pages.

Get a Cashiers Check from your Bank for the $340.00 Fee. ( Made out to Department of Homeland Security )

(Of course if the benificiaries Birth Cert is not translated it will have to and be BEST COPY.)

Yes I paid $ 1500.00 dollars for this #######. But would rather do that than take a chance on delays or rejections. Hope this help. I don't know everything, this is the way my Attourney is proceeding.

Good Luck. Tim

It is not required. I had my letter of intent Notorized per instructions. I to never heard of it. However, it did sound like a good idea too.

- form I-129f

- G-325a biographic information which will be filled up by me and him.

- letter of intent to marry from me and him.

- one passport type photo of me and him

I think they need two photos of each....Read the Guides.

- copy of his birth certificate... (do I have to submit mine?)

His only....Read the Guides

- copy of his passport... (do I still need a copy of his passport or only his birth certificate?)

BC or complete copy of passport. BC must be long form, certified. If not sure, send the complete copy of passport.

- copy of his divorce decree

Must be the certified copy with stamp. CAn get one from the county office where it was filed by the court.

- evidence of bonafide relationship.. pics, emails, boarding passes, hotel receipts, etc etc etc.

No, for the K-1 they only want evidence of meeting within the last two years. Passport stamps, boarding passes, and receipts are primary and photos are secondary.....

now having said this many folks, and many consulates want, front-end load their package with evidence of an ongoing relationship. You should check the Phils regional forum for this detailed information.

what do you think? :)

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
