USCIS will notify you when you get your NOA2. Usually they send it to NVC within a couple of weeks. Upon reciept, NVC will notify you and assign another case number relevant to the embassy that would handle the interview. So, dont worry, they'll keep you informed.

thanks for the info tero... :)

how will i know if our papers is on NVC already?.. and how many days after our NOA2, we can call to NVC to know our manila case number?..

NVC phone number: 603-334-0700. You can start calling the automated voice response system (AVR) about a week from NOA2. When you enter your USCIS number, the AVR will let you know if a case number has been assigned to you.

I got a case off the AVR about 9 days after NOA2.

Mine took 7 days. As Mrs O. said wait about a week and then start calling NVC everyday until you case number and ITN number. Don't wait on NVC for anything. Be as pro-active as you can. It will greatly speed up things.

Like what Tero said, the USCIS will notify you if it has forwarded the approved petition to NVC. Not too long after the NOA2 (1 week in my case) your fiance will receive a letter from NVC which has the Manila Case number, but if you can't wait for the letter just give it at least a week and call NVC, mine was approved at the NVC 7 days after it received the approved petition from CSC. I emailed IVmanilareplies@state.gov and found out that USEM has received my case (electronically) 3 days after the approval from NVC.

I scheduled my fiancee's interview a week before she even got the letter with her MNL case number on it. Go ahead and call NVC every day after your NOA2 and ask to speak to the operator. I never could get mine by using the automated system, but the operator gave me the MNL case number. Also, check your hard copy of the NOA2 and see what it says. My NOA2 said that my case had been forwarded to the consulate, which means it had already left the NVC.

Just press the number to speak to the operator (I think it's 5). It's a lot easier, and they can give you more info like your case # and when it left the NVC.
