Hi,

I thought the average processing time to get a fiancee visa was about 6 months.

But, at the link below, the average processing times in the US alone is 6 months.

Ghana adds another 6 months to the process.

If the statistics are true, the total time spent on my fiancee's visa would be about 1 year.

167 days (USA I-129 NOA1 -> NOA2 @ Vermont)

164 days (Ghana consulate receiving I-129 to interview)

331 days or ~ 1 year!

Can someone please confirm whether these statistics are correct?

I would say about a year or a little less. The USCIS processing is taking around 6 months, then on to NVC for a few days/weeks and then off to the embassy who can take anywhere from a few weeks to few months for interview.

Thats about right. It took about 2 months for my petition to approved and sent to Ghana. I also received my interview date within that time. I had to wait from Aug 25 to Jan 25th for interview. Total of 7 months from beginning to end. Lately, petitions are taking 6 months or more at the VSC.Then another 6 months for interview in Ghana. If it takes less than a year consider yourself lucky.
