1 issue i have is that my CA driver's license has expired.

i have an active bank account in the states and i've been filing my taxes

if anyone else has gone through the process and has any advice or ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

i've looked through VJ regarding this topic and just wanted to get the opinion from people that have gone through it here in PI. i know sometimes different countries have different policies or what have you.

well i gave up my apartment in 2008 but will be using the filing address (my sister's place) for the i-130. maybe get some sort of rental agreement from there? would that work?

i've got a job lined up and i filed taxes for the years i was gone. plus the rental agreement if that works. not sure what else i can add to that...

Why didn't you just go the DCF route? It's much shorter that filing with USCIS and the only "additional things that you'd need to prove your intent to re-establish domicile in the US on or before the date your wife will POE.

I've never seen anyone mention that they needed to prove US domicile when filing through USCIS.

i didn't file for DCF because i had planned on going home to the U.S. but due to unforeseen situations i ended up staying.

you're right. there's no need to prove domicile in USCIS. i was preparing it for the affidavit of support... in the NVC process but thanks anyway

My husband was in pi with me during the whole process...well... Except the last 3 months. Just look at my timeline. He went back to the US in sept 2010. Hes a dual citizen too. We didnt have any problems naman
