St Lukes - Quick Qa

So my SO will be having her medical on January 26 and 27th. She will be flying in at 6am and taking a taxi to st lukes, anyone know how much the taxi costs to and from the airport to st lukes? Trying to figure out how much she will need.

also, for the hotel, anyone ever stayed at either:

Executive Plaza Hotel

1630 A. Mabini Street, Malate, Manila, Philippines

or

Palm Plaza Hotel

526 Pedro Gil cor M. Adriatico St., Malate, Manila, Philippines

are they very far from St. Lukes? I tried to figure it out using google maps but that was no help. I get to stay there for free so i figured i would use it now.

if she plan to stay in a hotel theres lot of hotel which is cheaper like Php1500 or lesser or if she has relative in manila better she can stay there and have her sleepover less expense .anyway it wont take that long sometimes u can do it the whole day if u go there like 6am and will get done like 4pm cab going to st. lukes around Php500=USD 15 but make sure send her an excess money for the food but me i had $20 in my pocket when we had our medical(lol)coz we never stay in a hotel. hope it helps

yup, very much, we were gona stay at cherry blossoms but then i have the free stay there so i figured we would use it now.

manila airport aquino to lotus hotel near st.lukes where she is going 200php 4$ american thats all it is, you have to be on top of the taxi driver and let them know to have meter, and not rip her off

ur welcome OP but i just estimated the amt. Actually its very near but in airport especially domestic airport, taxi driver are sometimes had their contract /bargaining for her not to be late on her schedule prepare that amount if incase.she doesnt want to do bargaining takes time to negotiate.

ive been through manila before, and i only took taxi with meter so thats fine. but ya i always budget a bit more. but if its not so far then it shouldbnt be to bad.

Casa Bocobo is just down the street from St. Luke's. Some others on VJ recommended it.

It's not far at all.. I don't think you should pay more than 10usd.. Both hotels are not far but they are not walking distance.. I think you would be better off with the Pedro Gil one because she can cut through Robinsons and exit at Padre Faura which is already close. At least she can walk inside the mall )

It looks like the executive plaza is closer to the USEM than SLMC.. so maybe go for Palm Plaza. I went to school in UP Manila so I am a little familiar with the roads, but I am not familiar with these hotels.

the lotus garden is nice and clean,good food,very safe, and i stayed at other hotels around the area before but i really liked the lotus and 44$ american$ a nite w/free breakfast w/newspaper and i walked to st. lukes and walked to the embassy and robinson mall all close walking.forget about[cherry blossoms dirty] good luck

Which airport will your SO be arriving at?

If it's the old NAIA domestic airport, there is a line outside where she can grab a taxi, no problem.

If it's NAIA 2 or NAIA 3, she will have better luck grabbing a taxi at the Departure area. All the cabs outside the Arrival area are airport cabs, and the rates are higher and fixed depending on where your SO is headed.

Thanks for all the help guys went with the best western, they said its within walking distance to st lukes ( la corona )

best of all it was free
