I think dubya disproved that. Science is science, except when it runs counter to your theology, then it just gets burried and discredited.

I thought you said this wasn't a political thread?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

OMG!

Much like the climate, the planet's geology has always changed. Maybe we could tax dirt along with carbon to stop all this change.

We must tax someone! It should be Americans.

Gary, either add something on topic, or GTFO. Quit trying to turn everything into your usual pathetic partisan political commentary.

I am very concerned about this. We need to do something. Stop scolding me for making constructive suggestions, it adds nothing to the thread. If we taxed Americans, who unfairly do not have these problems like the Africans and are much richer anyway, then we could invest in study of this problem and perhaps develop legislative solutions. Dont you even care?

You're not even good at being disingenuous. Stay on topic, or i'll report you.

I am surprised this is something I actually knew before reading it on here. I have absolutely no clue why I knew it though. Those big lakes around Tanzania and Mozambique are rifts that are pulling apart. It's just a continuation of the rift that pulled apart and created the Red Sea.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.
