Good Day,

My name is , xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and my case number is EACxxxxxxxxx which has a receipt date of August 9, 2010. I am attempting to place a service request since I am over the 5 month processing timeframe.

I called yesterday and was put through to "level 2". After being on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes the phone went dead.

I am certain this was a mistake, however with my work hours I will not be able to be on an elongated call for the next week and half.

As I have heard nothing from USCIS I am concerned that my petition may have been lost.

This process has been stressful, as I am certain you can imagine and any information you can give me regarding my petition would be very welcome.

Thank you,

Good morning Carla,

Your Petition for Alien Fiancé (e) (Form I-129F) was received on August 9, 2010 and is pending normal processing here at the Vermont Service Center (VSC).

The posted processing time on the www.uscis.gov website indicates that at least one case filed within that timeframe has moved to "active processing" at that office. This means that at least one case filed in the posted timeframe has been moved to an adjudications officer's desk for review. This does not necessarily mean that a final decision has been made on all cases received within that timeframe.

For future status inquiries of a petition or application filed at this Center you may want to utilize our National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. If you would like to obtain forms, filing instructions, case status or schedule an appointment with your local office, please visit our website at www.uscis.gov.

You call this a response? This is a stupid form letter with zero information. They blew you off and told you to call the clueless knuckleheads at the 1-800 line.

I find this e-mail about as useful as a screen door in a submarine.

So let me get this straight: If ONE file out of 500,000 makes it to ONE adjudicator's desk within 5 months, that becomes the AVERAGE processing time? HUH!

I sent a similar email to that VSC email....and 11 days later I got the EXACT same response. Well not exact, they replaced your name with mine. I suspect they never even looked up my account at all...funny how 'Officer Jason' responded to me too. Meanwhile I have a service request in with VSC via telephone, I contact two Senators. One Senator sent me a generic letter saying they contacted USCIS on my behalf and I will hear back in 30 to 45 days.....the other senators office actually called me and said they called USCIS were advised to call back in 30 days...but the lady at the senators office said she knows I need my fiance here and she will call every two days until they give her an 'application is approved' response.

Some Senators and Congress Members forget who voted them into office and some remember. I am glad at least one of your two Senators is the latter type.

I am confident that the first of the two Senators is not going to get your vote in the next election.
